Revenge is a dish best served cold. And it is very cold in Troon! That proverb bounced around Adam Lee's head coming to the first tee. The Goldie/Kealey partnership needed some humiliation, and what better a course to do it on than one as tight as Darley?
Again after trading early blows, it became clear that Joe’s steadfast insistence to do no practicing beforehand was turning him into a golfing liability. With Jim struggling to hit anything less than 5 off the tee this match was akin to snatching candy from a baby.
With Eddie and Adam powering on like a freight train, it was amusing to think that only a few hours earlier, the ‘Dam Buster twins’ were in heavy gloating mode. To see the pair trudge off the course in disgust at the 12th, is arguably one of greatest moments in Beve history thus far.
