The Pish Cup is awarded each year to the pairing who take the biggest beating on the course. In 2008, there was no contest. Having beaten Adam Lee and Eddie Tonner 2&1 in the morning before celebrating by dambustering down the 18th fairway, Jim Goldie and Joe Kealey were clearly in confident mood going into the second round against the same fourballs. What followed has already gone down in Beve folklore. Just 12 holes later, Goldie and Kealey trudged back to the clubhouse having succumbed to a 7&6 mauling. Historians believe this is a record likely never to be beaten at the Beve.
